John Hancock building as seen from Navy Pier. In case you didn't realise it, this is the world's most recognised building: they say so on the viewing platform. In a city an hour's flight from the Chrysler building, and the empire state building, and containing several Lloyd Wright prairie homes, that is a brave statement.
